About the Artist: Christiane Papé
Painting is the essence of my existence and the source of my “joie de vivre”.
Born in Geneva, Switzerland, I studied at L’École des Beaux-Arts before journeying across Europe and the United States, a path that ultimately led me to Denver, Colorado. My work is deeply rooted in the natural world, with flowers serving as my most cherished muse. In their delicate forms and infinite variations, I find a language through which to express both beauty and emotion.
Each brushstroke is an act of translation: my flower paintings embody the tenderness and vitality of nature, while my abstract pieces give form to the intangible: fleeting emotions, vivid memories, and the quiet intensity of moments that cannot be spoken.
I paint instinctively, allowing color, texture, and movement to guide me, creating works that are at once personal and universal, intimate and expansive.
Through my art, I invite viewers to step into this dialogue between feeling and form, to see not just what is painted, but what is felt.
